  1. Smart meter technology launched by Elster, Aztech

    March 24, 2010 Source: Elster Aztech Associates Inc. and Elster , announced the launch of an in-home display (IHD) enabled by Elster's EnergyAxis system. The Aztech IHD is designed to communicate with smart meters through Elster's EnergyAxis advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) network, with the goal of providing homeowners with current energy usage data. Aztech and Elster have performed joint field trials of the EnergyAxis enabled Aztech IHD for more than a year, and Aztech plans to make the product commercially available in Spring 2010.
