Baker Hughes CEO assumes role

HOUSTON – Martin Craighead has assumed the role of president and CEO of Baker Hughes. He succeeds Chad Deaton, who will remain chairman of the board of directors.

Craighead will oversee operations in more than 80 countries and more than 53,000 employees. He most recently served as president and COO of the company.

Craighead has a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
