Kosmos Energy names COO


Offshore staff

DALLAS – Kosmos Energy has appointed Darrell McKenna as COO. Starting Jan. 3, 2012, McKenna will be responsible for the company’s global drilling, development, and production functions, as well as health, environment, and safety programs.

He has more than 30 years of energy and leadership experience. McKenna received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the Montana School of Mineral Science and Technology.

Prior to joining Kosmos Energy, McKenna was president of Hess Australia for Hess Corp.
