Sweden's Skandinaviska Raffinadetti AB awarded Technip SA a 50 million euro contract for a polymer production and storage project for its 210,000-b/d refinery in Lysekil, the largest in Sweden.
The propylene recovery unit was designed for a feed of 75 cu m/hr from the FCC unit.
The lump sum contract covered process design, basic and detail engineering, procurement, project management, and start-up assistance. The 22-month project was due on stream in April 2002.
Tacke Sverige AB, a Swedish subsidiary of Enron Wind Corp., received governmental approval to build a 10-Mw battery of wind turbines in southeastern Sweden.
It said the project, scheduled to be completed in late 2001, would be the first off the Swedish mainland to use large-scale, megawatt-sized turbines.
The project would consist of seven wind turbines that would generate 37 Gw-hr/year, enough for 3,000 homes on the island of Oland.
