Total, Novateck finalize JV to develop Termokarstovoye natural gas condensate field

OAO Novatek has today announced that the Company and Total Termokarstovoye B.V., an affiliate of Total SA (TOT) have closed the transaction for the establishment of a joint venture for exploration and development of the Termokarstovoye gas condensate field in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region of Russia.

A final investment decision will be made on the estimated $900 million project in late 2011 upon the successful completion of appraisal and development studies.
