Our client is a fast growing Nigerian exploration and production company with operations mainly in the Gulf of Guinea and is involved both as an operator and a non-operator. The company is in partnerships with the concessionaire and key international Oil and Gas companies in Nigeria and also has blocks in other parts of the Gulf of Guinea. It aspires to become a high performing exploration and production company with world class assets, people, processes and systems.

A rare opportunity exists for a talented CEO to lead and ensure the growth and profitability of the company. The ideal candidate will be directly accountable to the Board of Directors for all activities of the company. He/she will champion the shaping of the vision, goals and objectives of the company and ensure these are achieved through articulating and executing clear and relevant business strategies and plans.
The CEO will be responsible for securing and developing oil and gas upstream assets profitably, ensuring superior return to shareholders as well as expanding the business into new geographies and markets. In addition, the CEO will establish and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the upstream industry.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in engineering or Physical/Earth Science. A higher degree in a relevant discipline as well as a masters degree in Business Administration will be added advantage. He/she will also have at least 18 years post qualification experience of which 15 years should be in the upstream Oil and Gas industry with at least 5 years in senior management position. He/she must have a track record of delivering results with notable achievements and must be respected in the upstream industry.
