Offshore staff
LYSAKER, Norway – Songa Offshore has contracted Marlink to supply and install its Sealink C-band VSAT services on Songa’s semisubmersible rigs.
Each rig will be offered 1,024 Kbps bandwidth to support a range of applications.
Marlink will collaborate on this contract with IT service provider Viking Innovations. The partnership will give Songa Offshore access to satellite communications and network services including VoIP telephony for local dial tones almost anywhere, specialized networking onboard each rig, email and storage solutions, and desktop support.
