According to the manufacturer, parasitic pressure losses must be made up by the pumping system. This is an often unacknowledged cost in flow meter selection. When you sum these savings over its long lifetime, the meter pays for itself, they declare.
Pressure drop across the meter is also the primary source for internal blowby and meter accuracy. Series 240s remain linear at high flow rates and viscosities because they do not create high differential pressure at extreme conditions.
