NEW ORLEANS -- Tidewater Inc. has hired Quinn P. Fanning executive VP.

Fanning will assume the duties of CFO, when J. Keith Lousteau retires, around the end of September 2008. He will report to Dean Taylor, chairman, president, and CEO.

Fanning most recently served as a managing director of Citigroup Global Markets Inc., which he joined in 1996
