CISCO, Texas -- Nexus Energy Ltd., has drilled into approximately 328 ft (100 m) of gas pay zone at the Longtom-4 development well in Australia's Gippsland basin, offshore Victoria.

Longtom-4 well is the second development well at the Longtom project. Nexus now is preparing to run wireline logs. Following this, Longtom-4 will be plugged back before the horizontal section of the well is drilled by the West Triton jackup.

The operator estimates the Longtom gas field reserves at approximately 323 bcf (9.1 bcm) of gas and 4 MMbbl of condensate.
