Honeywell Wins Contract with Shell Martinez Refinery; Automation Project to Modernize Refinery's Process Controls

Shell Martinez Refinery has awarded Honeywell a $5.3 million contract to modernize its Flexicoker unit. Under the terms of the agreement, Honeywell will install a process control system and provide engineering and construction services. The automation project will enable the Shell Martinez Refinery to upgrade existing controls and maintain plant operations.
The Honeywell automation system includes robust and secure distributed control capabilities that maximize operational efficiency. The open technology offers sophisticated applications, such as multivariable control, batch control, plant-wide history and information management in one unified system.
