Hercules Offshore appoints CEO and president

HOUSTON -- Hercules Offshore Inc. has appointed John T. Rynd as the company's CEO and president. Rynd also has been named as a director.
Rynd joined the company in September 2005 and has served as executive VP and COO of the company since July 2007. Before joining Hercules Offshore, Rynd spent 15 years at Noble Drilling Corp. and 10 years at Rowan Companies Inc.
"We are grateful that John Rynd has agreed to serve as our new CEO and president. The board has great confidence in John and his management team to continue the company's growth and international expansion," says John Reynolds, chairman of the board.
