NEW PETRO PRODUCTS: External floating roof tank seal materials serve multiple storage tank applications

MesaThane 6036 and Masalon 7010 seal materials are for use in External Floating Roof Tanks. MesaThane 6036 is a reinforced premium-grade urethane laminate. It is engineered to provide superior chemical, abrasion, puncture, ozone, and ultraviolet resistance. This seal material is compatible with 100 percent aromatic hydrocarbon vapors, gasoline, and crude oil.

Among MesaThane 6036 applications are floating roof seals, gauge pole covers, leg boots, collapsible storage tanks, vapor bladders, and pontoon liners.

Five MesaThane 6036 configurations are available offering tensile strength warp from 101 to 258-lb, tear strength warp from 30 to 57-lb, hydrostatic resistance from 150 to 465-psi. Temperature range is -40 degrees to +210 degrees F.

Mesalon 7010 is a reinforced polymer laminate. It is designed to provide superior chemical resistance, tensile strength, and flexibility. This seal material is well suited for 100 percent aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, alcohols, ethanol, methanol, and other chemical solvents. Applications include primary and secondary curtain seals, foam log/envelope seals, gauge pole covers, roof leg boots, vapor bladders, and pontoon liners. Two Mesalon 7010 configurations are on the market in 60-in. widths, 0.020 or 0.035-in. gauge.
