Ethiopia

HOUSTON, Nov. 19 -- Epsilon Energy Ltd., Concord, Ont., signed a one-year Northwest Area Study Agreement on June 6, 2008, with Ethiopia covering an unexplored 96,233 sq mile area in the northwest part of the African country.

Epsilon plans to use Landsat or SPOT imagery, coupled with gravity and-or magnetic surveys, to be supplemented by land-based efforts, to identify sedimentary basins with oil and gas potential.

The company has acquired detailed stream drainage maps, interpretation of which shows 13 large surface highs that it is hoped reflect subsurface structural highs that could be oil prospects.

A mosaic of Landsat imagery of the area is being interpreted in late 2008.
