Offshore staff STAVANGER, Norway -- A significant oil discovery has been made on the Jordbær prospect in the North Sea, according to Revus Energy. The well has been tested with an average oil rate of approximately 7,500 b/d. Exploration well 34/3-1S tested the Jordbær Central segment. The company now intends to drill a sidetrack to better determine the resource potential of the Jordbær Central fault compartment. Revus Energy holds a 20% interest in production license 373 S, where the Jordbær prospect is located. BG Norge AS is the operator. The semisubmersible Bredford Dolphin drilled the well to 4,057 m (13,310 ft) TVD below the sea bed. It was completed in the Triassic age Statfjord formation. Page 1 of 2 |
