Pakistan PVC producer to raise plant capacity


By an OGJ correspondent KARACHI, June 10 -- Pakistan's primary producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins, Engro Asahi Polymer & Chemicals Ltd. (EAPC), is planning to expand its PVC resin production capacity by 50,000 tonnes/year to 150,000 tpy. PVC resin demand in Pakistan has steadily increased, reaching 120,000 tpy in 2006 from 62,000 tpy in 2000. PVC resin demand is expected to reach 168,000 tpy in 2010, EAPC said. In 2006, EAPC's share of the PVC resin market was 92%. Page 1 of 1
