Electrician tools: Nonconductive Tool Company (NTC) announced that its Voltclaw-12 multi-use electrician's tool will now be sold online by the world's largest home improvement retailer, The Home Depot® via HomeDepot.com.
"This is an important milestone for our company, and a great endorsement by the most trusted name in home improvement," said Warren Tarbell, CEO of NTC and the inventor of the Voltclaw. "Now electricians and Do-It-Yourselfer's across the nation can easily purchase our safety-enhancing Voltclaw."
NTC brings performance-driven solutions to the professional trades and DIY's with its Voltclaw-12. By harnessing a patented design the Voltclaw-12 allows electricians to grip, push, pull and move 12-gauge electrical wires in outlets, switches, junction boxes and breaker panels - safer, faster and easier.
Until Voltclaw-12, electrical wires were typically manipulated by hand or with tools designed for other purposes, such as a screwdriver or wire stripper. These methods put the electrician in serious danger of electrical shock, especially when metal tools are used to move wires. Metal tools can also damage the insulation which protects the copper wire. The Voltclaw-12 has no metal parts and is nonconductive up to 1000V. Its smooth edges allow an electrician to safely bend and move wires without damaging insulation, unlike with standard metal tools that can nick and break insulation.
"NTC is committed to making our Voltclaw products widely available in the United States," said Tarbell. "Partnering with The Home Depot is an important step in increasing our customers' convenience for purchasing, and we look forward to continuing to expand our reach and product availability."
