Utility truck ride system reduces driver fatigue

Utility truck suspensions are built for the job, not for the lineman. The same characteristics that provide a stable platform at the job site also result in a punishing ride getting there. The Bose Ride® system solves this problem.

In a recent evaluation conducted at a major utility company, linemen unanimously rated the Bose Ride system as providing a smoother ride in bucket trucks previously rated as rough riding. Objective engineering measurements from that evaluation demonstrated that the Bose Ride system greatly reduced road shock and vibration felt by drivers in utility trucks.

The Bose Ride driver suspension system uses a computerized motor to counteract harsh ride conditions, which can reduce the forces on the driver by as much as half, depending on the surface.

Bose Ride Systems:
• Proven to dramatically reduce driver fatigue and pain
• Game-changing driver suspension technology
• A competitive edge for your workforce

“The combination of chassis and bucket stabilization make these trucks very rough riding, to the extent of being a safety concern. Linemen have experienced back and neck pain during and after operating these vehicles on various combinations of road conditions. After a few weeks of driving the 'Bose Ride truck', I can honestly say that I have much less back and neck pain. The violent and abrupt movements seem to be lessened significantly. The seat seems to compromise the 'bottoming out' and 'whipping' action, which often happened while driving under normal conditions. In my opinion, the Bose Ride is an impressive solution to a very serious problem.” - Lineman, for a major utility company
