Safety eyewear: Honeywell has introduced Uvex Acadia™ safety eyewear, a bold new sport-inspired style that blends good looks with our industry tested, high-performance eyewear. Uvex Acadia’s contoured, wrap-around frame and premium comfort features deliver the style and custom comfort workers demand. A range of lens tints and Uvex anti-fog lens coating deliver the function they need to work safely. Uvex Acadia is a versatile solution that can be used both indoors and outside, across industries including construction, oil, gas, chemical, utilities, landscaping, manufacturing and more.

“Research shows that workers want their safety eyewear to look as good as the sunglass styles they wear outside of work,” said Daniel Birch, senior marketing manager for Honeywell Industrial Safety. “Uvex Acadia delivers the popular, sporty style workers want with the reliable protection and performance they require.”

The eyewear’s thin temples are sculpted and padded to ensure a secure and comfortable fit, even when worn with hard hats. The hinges are designed to enable a close-to-the-face fit, without unnecessary pressure. Engineered to fit a wide range of workers, the 3/4, 9-base frame is contoured for sporty style while ensuring ample coverage.

Uvex Acadia lenses are available with Hardcoat lens coating for exceptional protection from scuffing and scratching, or Uvextreme® Plus anti-fog lens coating, for fog-free vision that is intended to last up to 10-times longer* and provide twice the scratch resistance** than the next-best Uvex coating.

Available in black or brown frames, Uvex Acadia is offered in eight lens tints – clear, grey, amber, SCT reflect 50, red mirror, blue mirror, espresso and orange mirror – to meet the needs of workers across a wide variety of lighting applications. It meets the ANSI Z87.1-2015 standard and delivers 99.9% UV protection.

Uvex Acadia safety eyewear from Honeywell is available now through major safety equipment distributors in the Americas. Contact the Honeywell Industrial Safety customer care department at 800-430-5490 (U.S.) or 888-212-7233 (Canada) for more information about Uvex Acadia and where it may be purchased. Uvex brand safety eyewear is offered for sale by Honeywell Industrial Safety exclusively in the Americas.

* Anti-fog performance based on independent lab test results.
