Work light: Larson Electronics has released a new explosion proof LED drop light that provides cooler operation and higher performance than standard incandescent drop lights. The EHL-LED-7W-GCR100 explosion proof LED drop light is approved for Class 1 Division 1 & 2 locations, produces brighter and whiter light output than a 100 watt incandescent lamp, and runs cool to the touch. This work light provides performance and durability incandescent drop lights can’t match, and eliminates the danger of accidental burns and broken bulbs. This handheld LED drop light features robust aluminum and steel construction, a molded rubber bumper guard, a 10 watt LED bulb, and a general use cord reel equipped with 100 feet of cord. The LED bulb produces 1050 lumens and has a 50,000 hour life rating, exceeding the hour life of a typical incandescent bulb. The rugged lamp housing features a tough aluminum lamp cage for added durability and an integral aluminum hook provides easy hanging for hands free operation.

This high performance LED work light produces far more lumens per watt than a 100 watt incandescent drop light and produces a bright white light with better contrasting and color quality. Unlike the yellowish illumination produced by incandescent bulbs, the output from this lamp is a very clean white, giving it better detail rendering, contrasting, and color reproducing qualities which is very important when performing close work and detail oriented tasks. This task light includes 100 feet of cord wrapped around a general area cord reel and designed for drag or lift applications. The slip ring enclosure is built to NEMA 4 standards and has three conductors. The reel is constructed of durable steel, has a powder coated finish, and includes a ball stop, a ratchet with a lockout feature, and a four roller guide arm.

“This drop light features a high efficiency LED lamp that doesn’t require a ballast, reducing the overall weight of the unit,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “The included reel keeps the work space organized by housing the 100 foot cord and eliminates accidents from loose cables being strewn about the work area.”

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
