Tier 4i air compressors from Doosan

Statesville, N.C. — Utility equipment: Two new Tier 4i air compressors have joined the Doosan Portable Power lineup, possessing enclosures that were redesigned from the ground up over previous models to further enhance productivity and reliability. These hard-working, heavy-duty air compressors now offer the best servicing capabilities in the industry, maximizing uptime in general construction, mining and abrasive blasting operations.

Maintenance is completed safely and efficiently on the HP915WCU and XP1000WCU units, as the new enclosure design has resulted in the most accessible air compressor ever created. Simple and safe access to all service components — from coolers to filters — is made possible by panels located on all sides of the machine. Located on each side of the compressors are two access doors — a pneumatic lift door and a drop-down door — which provide total service access to the interior compartment. A rear panel door on the canopy simplifies heat exchanger cleaning, while rear steps provide easy access to the radiator for engine coolant refills. A double-door design at the front of the air compressor protects and provides easy access to the operator control system.

Efficient maintenance is further improved by the models’ central drain system. Centralized tubing and valve system drains allow operators to easily drain fluids from the radiator and oil and fuel tanks to a central location, without having to crawl under the machine. A ladder at the front of the machine provides access to the enclosure roof for exterior maintenance needs.

“With the addition of these models, Doosan Portable Power now provides customers with the most complete line of Tier 4i air compressors in the industry,” said Rus Warner, manager, global air products, Doosan Portable Power. “When we worked to meet Tier 4i regulations with these models, we revisited every angle of the design, looking for enhancements that would further improve operability and technology modifications that would create an even more user-friendly experience. The result is two compressors that exceed the standard of reliability and productivity of our previous machines, and offer the added benefit of the industry’s most advanced service access.

Operation is made easy and efficient with the Doosan ViewPort control panel, which provides more detail and preloaded resources than any other control panel in the market. An intuitive joystick control provides access to 15 operational parameters, and easy access to relevant manuals, a machine maintenance schedule, and spare parts information. A Wi-Fi interface allows operators to access real-time data on laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

A new Tier 4i-compliant Cummins engine provides 305 bhp at 1800 rpm. Productivity is enhanced with a machine runtime of 9.25 hours at 100 percent load.

While these models deliver the power required of big jobs, they do so quietly — operating at just 76 dBA.

The HP915WCU and XP1000WCU are even more compact than previous models, with a 12 percent reduction in length, totaling 226 inches. With a smaller footprint, the air compressors create more space in the rental yard and on jobsites, and are easy to transport and maneuver.

Available as an option is the patented IQ System® for cleaner air. Models with the IQ System feature an onboard aftercooler with 20 degrees approach, coalescing dual filtration system and an exclusive, zero-discharge condensate removal system — all of which work together to protect compressors from contaminants to increase compressor productivity.

Built to excel in rugged conditions, the air compressor includes a heavy-gauge steel enclosure, heavy-duty tandem-axle running gear for easy towing, and construction-grade pedestal jack stand.

The HP915WCU and XP1000WCU include a 1-year/2,000-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty; 2-year/4,000-hour engine warranty; and 2-year/4,000-hour airend warranty. An optional 5-year/10,000-hour extended powertrain warranty is available if genuine Doosan fluids and filters are used at recommended maintenance intervals.

Doosan Portable Power offers a full line of air compressors delivering a range of 125 - 1,600 cfm to meet any application requirement.
