Fremont, Calif.—GammaTech Computer Corp., a manufacturer and supplier of innovative notebook and tablet computers, has added another model to its line of RT10 fully rugged computers designed and built to stand up to the daily grind found in industrial applications. The new RT10C features a touch-screen, 10.2” wide display and Windows 7 compatibility. But what sets it apart from the competition is its compressed military-grade durable design. Neatly packaged into a five-pound unit, the RT10C is the ultimate portable personal computer.

“We are pleased to introduce our latest addition to the RT10 line of fully rugged personal computers,” stated Paul Kim, GammaTech’s VP of Sales and Marketing. “The RT10C is a perfect unit for system integration in the industrial industry, such as the automotive market. As with the custom capability of all of our products, the unit also provides the user with an exceptional built-to-specs, on-the-job PC solution, positioning it far above standard consumer PCs and tablets. Data processing and capturing have never been more convenient or easier, which leads to increased productivity, as this unit can be taken around a plant for use right on the floor with virtually no fear of damage from the work environment.”

The GammaTech RT10C features an Intel Core i7-620UE mobile processor with integrated HD graphics providing stunning visuals and smooth high-definition video playback, and runs on either Windows embedded standard 2009, Windows 7, or Windows 7 Pro embedded operating systems. It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies. Other features include an AC power connector, two USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, PCMCIA slot, two mini card slots, CompactFlash slot and VGA port.  An optional vehicle or office docking station includes four USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, Serial port, and VGA port.

Its many user-friendly features include a high-resolution (1024x600) WSVGA TFT LCD display with an LED backlight to eliminate eyestrain. The resistive touch-screen display responds to both stylus and fingertips alike. Data is kept safe with security features such as TPM 1.2 fingerprint recognition, and an optional Smart Card reader.

Up to five hours of usage is provided by the nine-cell Smart lithium-ion battery, assuring trips through the plant will never be interrupted by the need to recharge. With tough features, the unit meets military 810G standards for durability and IP65 standards for dust resistance. The fully rugged and sealed design completely guards internal components, making the tablet drop-proof, spill-proof, shock-proof, dust-proof, and watertight.
