CDI – a global provider of oil & gas pipeline electronics – has introduced a new easy-to-use pipeline pig tracking receiver dubbed the TRAXALL 620. This new receiver has a simple and intuitive user interface which shows the proximity of pipeline pig transmitters on bright, clear LED displays.
CDI has designed the TRAXALL 620 as a uni-body portable receiver which is both weather resistant and durable. This battery-powered device is ready for extreme weather with full operation available down to a bone-chilling -40 degrees Celsius and up to a sweltering 85 degrees Celsius.
Pipeline pig tracking is a growing necessity in the oil & gas industry. Lost pigs cost time and money and potentially have a negative operational or environmental impact. CDI’s TRAXALL 620 can track those assets in the pipeline and help to ensure that an pipeline network runs smoothly and efficiently.
Each TRAXALL 620 receiver can simultaneously track as many as three different pigs in a line through the use of CDI’s proprietary TRAXALL electromagnetic transmitters and can optionally be fitted with remote antennas for swamp and cold weather work as well as remote flashing pig passage beacons for use on remote pipelines.
