Gasoline prices around Arizona dropped slightly at the pumps this week.

 

PHOENIX (AP) — Gasoline prices around Arizona dropped slightly at the pumps this week.

Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $2.14 per gallon, down by almost a penny from last week.

This week's national average is $2.14 per gallon, a drop of almost nearly a nickel from last week.

Triple-A analysts say the abundance of crude oil in the global market is contributing to lower prices as the Thanksgiving holiday weekend approaches.

Tucson currently has Arizona's lowest average gasoline price at $2.01 a gallon and Flagstaff the highest at $2.36.

Oklahoma has the lowest average gas price among states in the continental U.S. at $1.86 a gallon and California the highest at $2.72.
