WATERTOWN, N.Y. (AP) — The New York Power Authority will provide low-cost hydropower to a North Country manufacturer to support an expansion that will add eight new jobs and retain 12 others.

The authority's board of trustees approved the deal Tuesday for Roth Industries in Jefferson County. The company is expanding its Watertown facility and adding a third shift. Roth also has a facility in Syracuse.

The company makes hot water solar and geothermal heat pumps, radiant floor heating, plumbing systems, and septic, cistern, rainwater collection and oil storage systems and tanks.

Construction is scheduled to begin this fall and be completed by next summer.

Empire State Development is providing $425,000 in tax credits.
