Keith Meyer was hired by the Alaska Gasline Development Corp. to succeed Dan Fauske, who resigned last year.
The corporation, in a release, said Meyer has more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry, including 15 years focused on liquefied natural gas projects.
The chairman of the corporation's board, Dave Cruz, said Meyer's contribution will be immediate and impactful.
Meyer's start date is Wednesday.
Miles Baker, a spokesman for the corporation, says Meyer's salary will be $550,000 a year, with the potential for an annual bonus of up to $200,000 based on performance toward corporate and performance goals.
Baker says Fauske's annual salary was $366,000 with no bonus provision.
