Dr. Scott Shemwell - The Rapid Response Institute
Dr. Shemwell, Managing Director of The Rapid Response Institute is an authority and thought leader in field operations and risk management with over 30 years in the energy sector leading turnaround and transformation processes for global S&P 500 organizations as well as start-up and professional service firms. He had been directly involved in over $5 billion acquisition and divestitures as well as the management of significant projects and business units. He has been a thought leader in the use of data and information enabling Operational Excellence for over twenty years. For more than a decade he has been directly involved with Fortune 100 firms, Government Agencies, and a large number of mid-size as well as start-up firms addressing a number of business and technology implementation problems. For example, his Economic Value Proposition Matrix® model was developed with and for the energy sector and has been used extensively in CAPEX and Risk assessments. He formerly served as Chief Operating Officer for an energy services company. He directed Oracle’s Energy Practice as vice president responsible for driving the strategic direction and business development. While MCI Systemhouse (now HP) he developed and implemented of the firm’s Y2K practice with a focus on the real-time systems responsible for both upstream and downstream petroleum production operation—forerunner of today’s Digital Oilfield. While serving on the Halliburton Energy Services Leadership Team, he led its Information Technology line of business and was directly engaged in the transformation of the company into its Integrated Solutions business model as well acting as the CIO of the $2 billion Terra Nova (offshore Canada) project. Moreover, he was the Chairman of the Landmark Graphics acquisition team.
Rustom Mody - Baker Hughes Inc.
Rustom K. Mody, P.E., is VP of Technology (Completions and Production) for Baker Hughes Inc. Rustom holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Finance. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. USA. He holds 16 patents and is the author of numerous technical publications. He has won numerous Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation. In all, he has more than 35 years of experience in drilling and completion. Rustom is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Society for Mechanical Engineers, American Association of Drilling Engineers, International Association of Drilling Engineers and World Oil and serves on various advisory boards and committees for all of these organizations. He also serves on the Board of Advisors – University of Oklahoma Engineering Department and University of Oklahoma Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geologic Engineering.
Bryant Hendricks - Siemens PLM
Bryant Hendricks is Portfolio Development Executive, Energy & Utilities (E&U), Americas for Siemens PLM and is based in Houston, TX. In his current role, Hendricks is responsible for leading E&U market acceleration efforts, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting the sales and operational teams in the execution of the overall E&U strategy and portfolio expansion across the Americas. He is also responsible for partnering with strategic E&U companies across the Americas to help them apply digitalization best practices and smart innovation across their organizations to drive new business opportunities, transform business processes, reduce costs and accelerate time to market by leveraging over 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Siemens PLM, Hendricks established a proven track record in sales, business development, and business consulting leadership positions with leading energy solution providers such as Bentley Systems, Aveva, Autodesk, and as Head of Sales, USA for Siemens COMOS, Process Industries. Bryant began his career graduating at the top of his class in a distinguished Navy apprenticeship program for shipbuilding design/build excellence at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard, going on to become a Production Control and Assembly Planning SME leading several innovation initiatives including a first generation CAD-based automated assembly planning tool resulting in significant man-hour savings. He transitioned from there as a global business consultant providing Plant CAD training across the globe for some of the largest energy companies in the world for several years before embarking on his sales career.
