TeamScheduler is a powerful tool that allows energy company clients to easily and efficiently group staff together and schedule them as a team in one or more locations.

Few things can change labor requirements faster for a utility than a large natural disaster. Tornadoes, storms and weather events instantly galvanize the utility to get the personnel in place to restore service, sometimes bringing in crews from other states.

To move quickly, they need to virtually coordinate teams of workers. That’s where the new TeamScheduler from ShiftHound can dramatically speed up the process.

ShiftHound, the leading provider of cloud-based Staff Scheduling and Workforce Management Software, has added the new TeamScheduler™ to its online Scheduling and Open Shift Management (OSM) application. TeamScheduler™ is a powerful tool that allows energy company clients to easily and efficiently group staff together and schedule them as a team in one or more locations.TeamScheduler provides an easy way to schedule workers to a specific identified job type. As the workers’ shifts are scheduled, their team members are automatically entered for the same locations and times. Cancel a worker’s shift and the team scheduled to work with that worker can be canceled as well, or just as easily left in place. Moving a worker to another location will also allow moving the team with the worker.

“The new TeamScheduler™ also allows Managers to unselect team members and add others because team member names are displayed at all times,” said Doug Bertozzi, Chief Technology Officer for ShiftHound. “Since teams are scheduled together, ShiftHound’s TeamScheduler™ makes adding, changing, or canceling shifts for the team quick and easy, and also very flexible with complete control of who’s working and when and where they work.”

“Adding TeamScheduler™ to ShiftHound enables our clients to more effectively and efficiently manage their schedules where groups are involved,” said Ken Coons, Vice President of Client Experience for ShiftHound. “Teams are scheduled together and when there is a change of plans, decisions can be made to easily move the team, cancel the team, or divide the team into other shifts or areas.”

ShiftHound’s Staff Scheduling solution is simple to learn and use for both managers and staff. The product's power lies in its ease of use, and the web-based, in “the cloud” model allows for one low monthly charge, eliminating the need for expensive technical staff and maintenance fees. ShiftHound gives its customers painless, free upgrades and they can turn on functionality and modules as or when they are needed, on demand.
