Houston, Texas based NST Express, LLC, (“NST Express”) announced that it is extending the Open Season for the NST Express oil pipeline (the “Pipeline” or the “System”) by one week to December 22, 2015, to allow prospective shippers to consider a change in the operation of the Pipeline. NSTX will offer bi-directional service, enabling shippers to receive and deliver crude oil at the Alexander and East Fairview Terminals, in McKenzie County, North Dakota. The oil Pipeline will have the capacity to accept 40,000 barrels per day of crude oil, except during the time the flow of the Pipeline is being reversed. Committed Priority Shippers entering into contracts as a result of the Open Season will be entitled to priority bi-directional service to and from the Alexander and East Fairview Terminals, as well as to and from any additional receipt and delivery point, including any connection to an interstate pipeline such as the Dakota Access pipeline, added to the oil Pipeline between the Alexander and East Fairview terminals.
The Open Season, which began on November 16, 2015, provides an opportunity for interested shippers to present bids for long-term transportation commitments for capacity rights at competitive rates. The Pipeline is projected to be in service in November 2016.
Open Season Process
All bids must be submitted to NST Express by 5:00 PM, Central Standard Time, on or before December 22, 2015. Additional information regarding the Pipeline and the Open Season can be found at this link.
