Pfister Energy celebrates ten years in renewable power

From its energy efficient headquarters in Hawthorne, New Jersey, Pfister Energy, Inc., will hold an Open House and Client Appreciation event to celebrate ten years as a leading provider of turnkey solar installations and renewable energy systems for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities. The invitation-only event will be held on October 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm; light refreshments will be served.

The ten-year mark represents a major milestone for Pfister Energy, one of the first solar installation companies on the East coast and one of the few remaining solar roofing industry pioneers.

Pfister Energy was founded in 2005 by Dieter Pfisterer, CEO of Pfister Roofing, who had the foresight and technical expertise to integrate solar energy systems into the company's commercial roofing services. Today, Pfister Energy offers an extensive portfolio of on-site energy solutions from clean, renewable sources, as well as energy management and procurement services. The company also offers creative financing through leasing and power purchase agreements.

With corporate offices in New Jersey and Maryland, and satellite locations throughout the East coast, Pfister's installations span from New England to Florida and as far West as Texas. The company received the Inc. 500 Award for the Fastest Growing Renewable Energy Companies in the U.S. for four consecutive years, and continues to explore and expand into new territories across the U.S.

Pfister Energy credits this accomplishment on its ability to navigate through a very fast-changing and uncertain business landscape, where rebates and incentives are here one day and gone the next, and to its unique "stackable technologies" business model.

Stackable technology is Pfister's way of harvesting all of the energy that's available in a building, such as the heat from a rooftop. Rather than just adding solar panels to a roof, Pfister looks at the building holistically and layers technologies such as daylighting, rainwater collection and thermal energy systems to generate power on-site. "The benefits of stacking technologies are huge," says Pfisterer. "Clients not only enjoy reduced energy bills, but get healthier workspaces and higher return on their investment."

As the renewable energy landscape continues to change, Pfisterer is bullish on his company's future. "There's a paradigm shift happening in the energy industry, much like the massive shift from landlines to cell phones in the telecom industry. We are moving away from a world powered remotely by coal, nuclear and hydro plants, and moving toward energy efficient buildings and homes powered on-site using stacked technologies."
