ROARING BRANCH, Pa. (AP) — A pipeline worker is dead after the bulldozer he was operating rolled over in northern Pennsylvania.

It happened just before noon Tuesday in Union Township.

State police say 54-year-old Ricky Dettman was driving a bulldozer on steep grade when it rolled down the hill, turning over several times before coming to a rest in an upright position. The Nebraska man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dettman was part of a construction crew working on a 36-inch natural gas pipeline for Energy Transfer Partners. A spokeswoman for the company says the pipeline will take natural gas from the Utica Shale and deliver it throughout the country.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
