A working meeting between Thomas Mueller, OAO LUKOIL Vice President for Oil Refining, Petrochemistry and Gas Processing, and Chris Beddoes, Director General of FuelsEurope, took place in Brussels. They discussed urgent issues of Europe’s oil-refining industry and the company’s active membership in FuelsEurope.
For 7 consecutive years ОАО LUKOIL has been involved in the activities of FuelsEurope, part of the European Petroleum Refiners Association representing the common interests of the European oil-refining industry.
The European Petroleum Refiners Association was established in 2013 through the merger of two petroleum associations: Concawe (focusing on health, safety and environmental research in refining and in the supply of petroleum products) and Europia (later FuelsEurope, focusing on government relations).
The association numbers 42 members, including OAO LUKOIL (since 2008). They account for nearly 100% of the EU total refining output. Jointly with the European Commission, the association acts as a co-organizer of the EU Refining Forum.
