Oil and gas: McAda Fluids Heating expands to Niobrara and Rockies with new facility

Recognizing the growing demand for specialized oilfield services in the Niobrara Shale and along the Rockies, McAda Fluids Heating Services and McAda Drilling Fluids broke ground today on a new 10-acre facility near Fort Lupton. The event signals faster service and greater efficiency for oil and gas operators across the region.

The new facility will allow McAda, the “Leader in Frac Fluids Heating®”, to provide the growing oil and gas industry with custom, cost-effective services using one of the most modern, efficient equipment fleets in the nation.

“The Niobrara play is a great example of how companies are combining technology and expertise to develop the energy America needs,” says James McAda, President of McAda Fluids Heating Services. “Our promise is to provide the heating capacity, the service and equipment that operators need when they need it.”

Located at the northeast corner of US Highway 85 and County Road 8 in Fort Lupton, the McAda facility will include a truck yard, maintenance shop, warehouse and office. It will be the operating base for the company’s 18 local employees when it opens in spring 2015. In the interim, McAda operates 15 mobile heating units, each with 35 million BTU of heating capacity, from a temporary facility in Brighton.

“This facility shows the confidence we have in continued development of oil and gas resources in the Niobrara,” says McAda. “It also represents our commitment to Fort Lupton and northern Colorado.”

Local government and business leaders attended the groundbreaking and commended the company for providing reliable, efficient service to its customers and support for the Fort Lupton community.

McAda Fluids Heating Services offers solutions for operators during the hydraulic fracturing process in cold weather, for specific frac fluid temperature requirements, or for issues related to well-bore pipe contraction. The company operates more than 1.8 billion BTU of heating capacity for frac tanks, water pits and “Heat on the Fly” services.

McAda Drilling Fluids provides around-the-clock oilfield service equipment where and when operators need it. The company operates a fleet of specialized trucks and offers equipment rentals for tanks, pumps and mixing plants. Products include custom-blended drilling and completion fluids and water-based drilling mud.
