In response to the transforming U.S. oil and gas supply market, MAPSearch is introducing oil and gas well datasets to aid in the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in North America. Well location and attribute data are now available at no extra charge with ENvision, a MAPSearch mapping application that simplifies the mapping and analysis of the North American energy infrastructure.
Subscribers can now evaluate both midstream and upstream opportunities with a single search interface using data that is validated, standardized, and integrated into one database. Well data, in combination with MAPSearch’s existing expansive midstream dataset, now provides a clearer picture of how supply gets to the marketplace. This, in turn, gives your enterprise a unique advantage for both competitive planning and smart decision making when entering new prospective areas.
Since accurate well locations are critical when evaluating projects, MAPSearch has adjusted each source into the projection best used for web mapping, WGS84. In addition to accurate coordinates, well data includes an expansive attribute set providing information such as API, status, well type, operator, lease name, well number, field, total depth, formation, and completion date. MAPSearch also provides production data for selected states.
MAPSearch will continue to add to its coverage of oil and gas well data in all of the primary oil and gas producing regions such as the Eagle Ford, Permian Basin, Marcellus, Utica, Niobrara, Bakken, Mississippi Lime, and specifically for the following states: Arkansas, California, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, Ohio, Virginia, and Wyoming.
