Preferred Sands, one of North America’s leading proppant technology companies, today introduced NavPort, a comprehensive database that tracks wells from completion to production. Developed to fill an industry need for reliable and complete data, NavPort links downhole completion and production information through an on-demand and flexible reporting platform.
Using NavPort’s visualization tool, customers are able to zoom in directly to any well in North America and track all downhole consumables, including proppant consumption and fluid usage, and link them with production. NavPort’s flexible reporting platform allows industry professionals to track such trends as average proppant consumption by well, basin, and operator or well service provider. Additionally, NavPort’s Proppant Efficiency Metric measures a proppant’s effect on oil and gas production over a specific period of time.
“We found that major investments were being made from outdated or incomplete data,” said Michael O’Neill, founder and CEO of Preferred Sands. “So we developed a product that provides users with all available up-to-date completion and production data. With NavPort, users are able to completely customize their data and capture reports specific to any well or region. We are proud to add NavPort to our innovative line of products.”
Growing daily, the NavPort platform currently contains data from more than 70,000 wells, 900+ operators, 50+ well service providers, and nearly 500 counties in 25+ states plus Canada. NavPort’s platform replaces industry-wide manual data gathering processes and allows users to make better decisions regarding proppant selection, terminal locations, market share, and basin trends.
