Vepica announces new environmental and health certifications

Vepica, a leading global energy-industry engineering company and ENR Top 225 International Design Firm, announced new certifications in Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety. This reflects Vepica’s commitment to international quality standards in order to achieve unsurpassed customer service, skilled project execution, quality assurance and robust global growth.

The certifications last three years and measure the efficacy of quality management systems covering engineering, consulting (management and inspection) and procurement. They include:
- Certification for Environmental Management System: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004 – Specifies requirements for an environmental management system to develop and implement a policy and objectives that meet international standards.
- Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System: Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) 18001:2007 – An international benchmark for occupational health and safety management system specifications.

“This achievement demonstrates our commitment on a global level to help ensure our clients receive the best service possible in an environmentally responsible and safe manner,” said Miguel Bocco, Jr., Vepica’s Chairman of the Board. “As we expand across the world to service large-scale oil and gas projects, we’ll continue to build on our 40-year foundation of innovation to meet the highest standards in the industry.”

Quality management systems are a series of business processes that ensure the quality of products and services and the effectiveness of manufacturing processes, procedures and policies. Bureau Veritas, an international authority on testing, inspection and certification, conducted the certifications.

Already, Vepica holds international ISO 9001:2008 certifications in project management, professional inspection services and environmental studies.
