Petrobras announces voluntary redundancy incentive plan Petrobras announces that the Executive Board approved a Voluntary Redundancy Incentive Plan (PIDV).

This Plan is an offshoot of the Productivity Optimization Program (POP) designed to boost Petrobras productivity and help achieve the performance targets in the Business and Management Plan.

The aim of the Voluntary Redundancy Incentive Plan is to be able to schedule voluntary redundancies and achieve the following objectives: to trim the company workforce in line with Business and Management Plan, to align the company’s interests with employees expectations and to conserve existing knowledge within the company.

In developing Redundancy Incentive Plan, it was assumed that the plan would appeal to employees of 55 or over who are ready for retirement.

Petrobras will keep its shareholders and other interested parties informed on how the Plan progresses.
