India-based photovoltaic solar modules firm Vikram Solar is partnering with energy solution firm GermanPV to supply modules for a 2.45 megawatt solar park, Economic Times reported. Vikram Solar is looking to expand its presence in Europe and currently has offices both in Europe and Africa. The solar park is located in Osterburg in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, according to Business Standard. Once the park is completed, the solar modules will have enough power to meet the demand of 1,000 households.
"The direct line to decision makers in Europe as well as in India has helped to realise this project on a very tight construction schedule," GermanPV Director for Procurement Tobias Sommer said, according to Economic Times. "The value for money is currently one of the best in the market and their products have been accepted by all major German Banks in the PV sector."
Davide Marro, head of sales, Europe for Vikram Solar, said GermanPV has more than 10 years of experience in the German PV sector. The project could save an estimated 1.7 tons of carbon dioxide each year.
