Timken names new appointments to vice president roles for Steel Business The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR) today announced the appointments of Robert N. Keeler to the position of vice president – industrial and mobile and Shawn J. Seanor to the position of vice president – energy and distribution for the Steel Business. The company also announced that Cengiz S. Kurkcu, vice president – industrial, plans to retire in November after a 35-year career with Timken.

Keeler joined Timken in 1979 as a sales engineer in Canton. During his more than 30 years with the company, he has held various leadership roles in sales and marketing. Most recently, Keeler served as vice president – mobile on-highway. He received a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Grove City College in Grove City, Pa., and a master’s degree in business administration from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Keeler is a native of Pittsburgh and currently resides in North Canton, Ohio.

Seanor began his career at Timken in 1984 as a member of the project management team responsible for building the Faircrest Steel Plant. He has held positions in manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain operations, sales, and marketing and business development. Most recently, Seanor served as vice president – oil & gas. He holds a bachelor's degree in management engineering from Grove City College and a master's degree in business administration from Kent State University in Kent Ohio. Seanor is a native of Greensburg, Pa., and currently resides in Jackson Township (Canton), Ohio.

Kurkcu joined Timken in 1978 and served as senior systems analyst, corporate planning specialist and manufacturing analyst for bearing operations in Canton. Kurkcu has managed the Timken distribution center in Bucyrus, Ohio, and Timken operations in Mexico, as well as financial services and corporate investor relations. Kurkcu has also served as vice president and general manager of the miniature precision bearing division in Keene, N.H.; president of precision steel components; corporate integration leader after the Timken acquisition of The Torrington Company, and vice president of steel business development and president – value-added solutions. Named to his current position in 2009, Kurkcu has directed the sales, marketing, customer engineering and finance areas for alloy steel products specifically engineered for the unique applications of industrial customers. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration, both from The Ohio State University.
