The rig is currently performing final testing before commencement of drilling operations.
By issuing the AoC, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway expresses confidence that the drilling rig is considered to be in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements for petroleum activities. The AoC is issued to the manager of the rig.
Heading for Johan Sverdrup
After the final testing, Island Innovator will proceed to the Johan Sverdrup-field to perform drilling services under contract with Lundin Norway. It is expected that the activity will extend over approximately two years from start-up in September. Island Innovator is owned by Marrac ASA.
