Daybreak announces results of Bear #7 well in California

Daybreak Oil and Gas Inc. (OTC: DBRM) announced the results of the Bear #7 well in the East Slopes Project in Kern County, Calif. The company said the well was drilled to 2,146 feet and discovered 20 feet of oil pay in the Vedder Sand. 

Daybreak is currently finishing exploration of the well. The oil and gas exploration company holds a 37.5 percent interest in the Bear well.

"The Bear #7 well was the final well in a successful drilling program in which the Company drilled seven productive wells," said Daybreak President and CEO James Westmoreland. "We are very pleased with the results of this drilling program, which resulted in more oil being sold in the first 17 days of this month than in the full month of May 2013."

Westmoreland said the the development wells in the East Slopes have been successful. Daybreak will drill at least five wells at Bear and Ball wells in late October.
