New Chief Financial Officer for Black Elk Offshore

Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LLC (“Black Elk Energy”), an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Houston, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Koch as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Koch is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Mr. Koch spent nineteen years with the world’s largest land drilling company, Nabors Industries, Ltd. (NYSE listed, S&P 500 Index Member) generating $5 billion in revenues and $1 billion in net income.

Mr. Koch is an experienced senior executive with over twenty-five years of financial, accounting, tax, treasury, information technology and M&A experience. Prior to joining Black Elk Energy, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Paradigm, LTD, Cal Dive International, Inc. and Nabors Industries, Ltd. He began his professional career in public accounting, working at KPMG, LLP and Coopers Lybrand, LLP in Baltimore, Maryland.
