ABB (NYSE: ABB) Automation & Power World 2013, held in Orlando, Florida from March 25-28, attracted 5,000 attendees from a wide variety of process, discrete manufacturing and power industries. ABB’s largest event worldwide focuses on the North American market; the continued success of this popular customer conference and ABB’s ongoing investment in North America underscores the growth potential for the region.
At the event, ABB announced that its US revenues rose 26 percent to a record $6.7 billion in 2012. The U.S. is the largest single market for ABB; expansion in the U.S. and North America is a pillar of the company’s 2015 growth strategy.
ABB Automation & Power World is an annual four-day, comprehensive users conference and exhibition that showcases ABB’s extensive automation and power offerings and expertise under one roof, the widest range of technologies from one company at any one conference. It included more than 400 hours of workshops, utility/customer case histories, technical partner presentations, and hands on training sessions, and featured a 150,000 square foot exhibit hall and unique demonstration areas at the Orange County Convention Center.
“The purpose of ABB Automation and Power World is to provide our customers with a forum to learn from each other and share best practices, to help each other grow and succeed,” said Enrique Santacana, Region Manager for ABB North America and Event Chairman. “We are honored by the continued success of this event, the opportunity to collaborate and grow with our customers, and provide them with knowledge that can help to positively impact their business going forward.”
