Halliburton announced March 18 it opened a new Completion Technology and Manufacturing Center in Singapore. The facility allows the company to expand its completion tools business, which is a product service line in Halliburton's Completion and Production division.
The new facility is located on 43 acres in Jurong Industrial Park. It includes more than 500,000 square feet of space for manufacturing and administration services. The manufacturing center includes laboratories and testing facilities, allowing Halliburton to complete high-alloy material precision machining, small deep-hole gun drilling and high-pressure testing.
Halliburton said the new space will also allow it to continue to deliver high-quality products to a broad and growing customer base in Asia.
"Halliburton is the leading supplier of completion products and services globally, and the Singapore facility is a flagship for our Completion Tools manufacturing in the Eastern Hemisphere," said Dave Lesar, Halliburton chairman, president and CEO. "Investment in this technology and manufacturing facility is a demonstration of Halliburton's commitment to strengthen our position in international markets where we are seeing expanding opportunities in deep water, mature assets and unconventional resources development."
Halliburton is also currently in the process of building additional facilities in Jurong Industrial Park for engineering and systems integration testing.
