Consent granted for Borgland Dolphin offshore oil drilling facility

Statoil Petroleum has received consent to use the Borgland Dolphin mobile facility to drill well 35/11-R-14 BH which is part of production license 090C.

Statoil Petroleum AS has received consent to use the Borgland Dolphin mobile facility to drill well 35/11-R-14 BH which is part of production licence 090C.

The position of the well during drilling will be:

•61° 10’ 25.86” N
•03° 26’ 29.24” E

Water depth at the site is 368 metres.

The planned start-up is 23 April 2013, with an estimated duration of 124 days.

Borgland Dolphin is a semi-submersible Aker H-3 drilling facility. It was built at Harland & Wolff in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1977 and underwent extensive upgrades in 1999. The facility is owned by Borgland Dolphin Pte Ltd and operated by Dolphin Drilling A/S.
