Horton Wison Deepwater founder Ed Horton to speak at marine engineer luncheon

Horton Wison Deepwater, Inc. today announced that Vice Chairman and company founder, Mr. Ed Horton will address the Texas Section of The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) at their monthly luncheon on December 11, 2012.

Ed Horton is one of the most recognized inventors in the offshore oil & gas industry. He is the named inventor on two of what would be considered today’s standard deepwater concepts; Spars and Tension Leg Platforms, both of which have been successfully commercialized repeatedly throughout the world. He continues to pave new frontiers in offshore innovation and will be discussing one of his latest projects with Scripps Institution of Oceanography which incorporates composite materials into the spar design for use in scientific data gathering in the oceans of the world.
