Bowleven begins drilling Sapele-3 offshore Cameroon

In the Entinde Permit offshore Cameroon, West Africa, Bowleven (AIM:BLVN) has commenced drilling on the Sapele-3 well in the Douala Basin with the Sapphire Driller jackup rig. 

The Sapele-3 well, located around 16 kilometers northwest of the Sapele-1 location, is targeting the Tertiary interval and is to be drilled to an estimated target depth of circa 3,550 meters in water depths of around 30 meters. 

Bowleven operates three shallow blocks in the Etinde Permit area, including Blocks MLHP-5, MLHP-6 and MLHP-7. The Etinde Permit covers approximately 2,314 square kilometers, with water depths ranging from shallow up to approximately 70 meters.
