A news agency reported on April 4 an attack against Yemen LNG facilities in Shabwah. Yemen LNG denies this report.

There was no attack against any Yemen LNG facility, there was no evacuation of any personnel. Yemen LNG currently operates normally at all worksites and produces LNG at nominal capacity.

LNG exports steadily continue at the pace of two LNG carriers per week.

Gas for Yemen LNG is supplied by Block 18 (Marib) in central Yemen, which boasts 9.15 TCF of proven gas reserves. The Yemen LNG plant has two trains and a total capacity of 6.7 Mmtpa. The facility has three long-term contracts with GDF-Suez, Kogas and Total Gas & Power.

Project partners in Yemen LNG include Total, Hunt, Yemen Gas Company, SK Corporation, Korea Gas Corporation, Hyundai Corporation and GASSP.
