Jaguar Exploration will provide HSE compliance services during mobilization and acquisition of a 2D seismic program in Peru. The 2D program is being conducted by Repsol in one of its exploration blocks in the northern portion of the country’s Maranon Basin.
“Jaguar’s continually expanding capabilities have contributed to a long-term relationship with Repsol,” stated Jaguar President Julio M Jimeno in announcing the award. “We’re very grateful for our ongoing involvement with the company.”
Jaguar’s QC contract will help assure that Repsol acquires seismic data of the highest possible quality. It also specifies the use of Jaguar QC acquisition personnel to assist in quality control.
Repsol, through its subsidiary Repsol Exploracion Perú SA, has rights in seven exploration land blocks, with a net surface area of 26,475 km2. The company also continues its exploitation and development of the Camisea oil field comprised of blocks 56 and 99, in which it holds a 10% share; and it is the operator of the consortium that will exploit the Kinteroni X1 field.
