NAES Corporation operates 665MW coal plant in Arkansas

NAES Corporation, a broad-based provider of services to the power generation industry, announces that it is providing operations and maintenance services for the Plum Point Energy Station, a 665 MW pulverized coal plant that is located near Osceola, Arkansas. Plum Point achieved commercial operations on September 1, 2010.

Plum Point, located on an 880-acre site near the Mississippi River 50 miles north of Memphis, contains an IHI boiler, a Toshiba steam turbine and an Alstom emissions control system (SCR, carbon injection, spray dry scrubber, and baghouse). Coal for the plant is delivered by rail from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.
